Campaign Finance Reports: Period Ending 1/18/2020

Please click here to view updated numbers for the following fundraising periods:

7/1/2019 - 12/31/2019
1/1/2020 - 1/18/2020

As a result of the altered primary calendar, the deadlines for campaign finance were turned a bit upside down. The semi-annual report (7/1/2019 - 12/31/2019) is due at the end of January. However, the first pre-election report was due on 1/23. So we are getting the new numbers before we get the old numbers.

Most campaigns submitted both reports, but some are waiting until closer to the deadline to file - I will update this sheet as those numbers come in. I have also shaded out the 2019 numbers to reduce confusion.

The best indicator of campaign strength, from my perspective, is to look at the current cash on hand minus debt in the last column. Some campaigns may have spent a bulk of funds in January to pre-pay for items to be spent in February, so looking at that number in conjunction with cash on hand minus debt will give a decent idea of how much "firepower” each campaign has going down the stretch.

Note: I typically don’t include ballot measures, but included the most-watched measures since they are well funded and are drawing a lot of interest this cycle.

Note 2: Congressional numbers aren’t due until 1/31, so that sheet is primarily blank. I will update those as they come in.

Note 3: I have left worksheets documenting fundraising for the first half of 2019 for historical reference, for those interested.
